Setting up your Symynelec Y3 Indoor Security Camera is a straightforward process that ensures your home is monitored efficiently. Follow these steps to connect the camera to your phone and Wi-Fi network.
1.Powering the Camera:
- Begin by connecting the power adapter to the camera. Insert the USB cable into the camera and plug it into a power outlet.
- Once powered on, wait for approximately 1 minute. During this time, the camera will rotate and emit a startup sound, indicating that it’s booting up.
- Look for the indicator light to start flashing blue. This signifies that the camera is ready to be paired.
- If the indicator light does not flash blue, the camera might need a reset. To do this, press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds until you hear three short beeps.
- After the reset, the camera will be ready for pairing once the blue indicator light begins flashing again.
- Before pairing, ensure that Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your phone. These settings are crucial for a successful connection.
- Open the app on your phone and select the correct device model to begin the pairing process.
- Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password into the app. The app will then generate a QR code that contains the necessary Wi-Fi information.
- Hold your phone 6 to 8 inches away from the camera lens, allowing the camera to scan the QR code.
- You’ll know the camera has successfully scanned the QR code when you hear a voice prompt from the camera.
- If the camera doesn’t immediately scan the QR code, try adjusting the position of your phone slightly. A small tilt or frame adjustment can often resolve the issue.
- Ensure there are no light reflections or high contrast backgrounds that might interfere with the QR code’s readability.
